Anthony Atanasio and Valerie Martinez have created some of the most visually daring commercials of the last ten years, crafting clever and mesmerising films for the likes of Levis, Audi, Nike, Hermes and Nintendo. Their style shows strong performance and a feel for the aesthetic, the films are notable for their rich cinematic textures and storytelling.
Having been selected for Saatchi's New Directors Showcase in 2003, Atanasio developed quickly into an award-winning film-maker, his Nintendo spot picking up numerous accolades including Clios for Best Directing & Best Cinematography and Gold & Best-in-Show awards at the Addy’s.
Working together with partner and co-Director Valerie Martinez, the husband and wife team have directed UK ads for the likes of BBH, CHI, VCCP, TBWA, and AMV, and recent European work includes two very down-to-earth spots for Hotpoint and the stunning new brand film for Whirlpool, shot on location in Uruguay.
Their latest International work includes a unique 360VR film for Etihad Airways once again teaming with Nicole Kidman (Eyes Wide Shut, Little Big Lies). Previously they directed M&C Saatchi’s global Etihad Airways campaign also featuring the inimitable Hollywood superstar Nicole Kidman, and a spectacular Diesel campaign featuring rising Hollywood star, Liam Hemsworth (Independence Day II, Hunger Games) shot entirely on location in downtown LA and utilising some spectacular performances, stunts and explosions!
Anthony and Valerie are also keen photographers and writers and are moving towards their first feature-length movie project.
